How can you track project costs in Xero?

There are two tools within Xero that you can use to track invoices and costs relating to a clients project.

Tracking Categories

These are like department codes, you can have two tracking categories (this could be location) and within that, you can have up to 100 options to assign costs to (these could be the location of site projects).

There is no extra cost to have this feature within Xero. There would be an extra cost from Co- if we are doing you bookkeeping due to the specifics required.

This allows you to track time and expenses against your work. From this, you can create quotes, simplify getting paid and monitor project profitability in real-time.

Using this tool allows you to estimate costs before the work begins.
