What are Keep in Touch days?
Keep in Touch (KIT) days allow employees on maternity leave to work for up to 10 days during their leave period without bringing their statutory leave or pay to an early end.
Designed to make the eventual transition back to work much smoother, these days can be used for attending team meetings, catching up on project updates, completing training, or performing regular work duties. Participation is entirely voluntary, neither you nor your employer can mandate taking them. Compensation for the hours or days worked is typically agreed upon in advance.
They may not be taken within the first two weeks of the birth.
