What is BR Tax Code?

The BR tax code (sometimes called Emergency Tax Code) taxes PAYE income at Basic Rate 20%* without any adjustment for your Personal Allowance.

It is generally used for a second employment and sometimes if there is not enough information to give you the correct tax code.
